‘Pygmalion’ Opening This Week at The Echo

Professor Henry Higgins, expert in English dialects, places a bet that he can take Eliza Doolittle, a common flower girl, and teach her to speak like a lady and then pass her off as a duchess at an ambassador’s garden party. What happens when two classes collide? Both Henry and Eliza learn valuable lessons about social class and what happens when you teach someone to rise above their station in life.

‘Pygmalion’ was written by George Bernard Shaw in 1912 and is the original play that ‘My Fair Lady’ is based on.

Showing January 16th — February 15th, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
